  1. Find someone who suits you well

One of the biggest mistakes people make when they enter the world of dating is choosing people that don’t suit them. Dating the right kind of people is integral to your romantic success. If you are looking for people online, dating can be a potential minefield. There are all kinds of people online looking for all kinds of weird and wonderful things. The chances are not everybody you meet will want what you want. Stick to dating sites that match you on the basis of your personality, such as Elite dating, so that you meet the right people.

  1. Never make yourself too available

One of the biggest turn-offs in a potential partner is availability. It may sound silly, but if someone knows that they can have you, they won’t want you. Part of the fun of dating is the chase. If you take the chasing part of dating out of the equation, it becomes boring. Make sure that you keep your dates interested by seeming unavailable. For example, if they call you at the last minute, hoping for a date, tell them you’re busy.

  1. Choose dates that are fun (for both of you)

The point of dating is to have fun. Forget fancy restaurants and cool bars, you need to do something more exciting than that. Choose dates that you can both enjoy. Go on a hike together or take up a new hobby. If you enjoy activities together, it is a sure sign that your relationship will work.

  1. If there is no spark, stop dating

If there is no spark from the beginning of a relationship, it is unlikely to develop over time. When you first meet someone, you will know whether you find them attractive. If you don’t feel the spark, you need to stop dating them. There is no need to waste your time dating someone who you don’t fancy. Cut your losses and move on before it’s too late.

  1. Determine what you are to each other

When you have been seeing someone for more than a month, you need to determine what you are to one another. If you think that things are getting serious, but the other person sees you as a friend, it is best to find out now. People often avoid discussing their relationship when it is new, but you must do so. If you don’t, you will find it hard to raise the topic later.

  1. Don’t call too often

If you are calling someone every day (or even more than once a day), you need to cut it out. Getting obsessive and needy is a surefire way to make someone go off you fast. Forget being a needy person. Instead, get on with your life and wait for your date to call you. If your date can see that you have other things going on, it will make you more attractive to them.

  1. Enjoy the experience!

Dating is not meant to be stressful. If you’re not enjoying dating people, something is wrong. Don’t force yourself to go out on dates simply because you think you should. Only date if you enjoy the experience. If not, chill out instead.
